Commercial return air grilles need to be strong enough to hold up to heavy foot traffic. This 8 x 24 return air vent for floors does just that. Made of rigid steel, these commercial return air grilles can also be used in residential areas where you have an 8 x 24 return air vent hole opening in your floor.

These commercial return air grilles come in a classic grid style. There is a smooth cover for foot traffic to move over. This is a drop-in style 8 x 24 return air vent. Just place over floor vent opening and drop in. A thin lip sits on top of the floor holding the vent in place. The grille will sit in the hole opening approximately 3/4 inch. Overall dimensions including the faceplate lip is 9 13/16 x 25 13/16. The commercial return air grilles are a beautiful light cinnamon color that will blend into many decors. The cover has an air flow area averaging over 75%, providing efficient air flow from the duct work in the floor.  

Also available are heavy duty registers, which have an adjustable damper to allow for complete air flow control. 

Regarding measurements:  Please ensure you are measuring the actual size of the floor hole into which this vent will be placed.  In order to estimate the correct vent size needed, please do not measure the faceplate of the old grille.  For instance, if floor hole size is 8 x 24 inches, purchase an 8 x 24 inch vent.
